June was a busy month in Vendetta's game dev department. Death matches, game UI, character models and more!
1. Massive revamp of our game UI
The user interface is a crucial aspect of any game, and we've been hard at work redesigning the Chalk River navigation to be more intuitive, immersive, and enjoyable. We've revamped the character selection screens, deathmatch server selections, and much more. Additionally, all other UI elements are being updated to reflect our new style.
2. Continued updates to animations
We are continually updating the base animations for all characters, including walking, shooting, idling, and even dying. Realism is paramount at Vendetta Games, and we want you to truly connect with the characters. Accurate animations are essential to achieving this goal.
3. Pre-Alpha Testing phase
Each week brings us closer to the launch of our official gated alpha release. This month, we've begun testing our updated Death Match mode. Check out some early footage from the latest testing round, courtesy of @cryptokire12.
4. Did we mention model design of new in-game characters?
New character model designs are progressing well, including both playable characters and NPCs. These models feature both male and female characters, each with captivating backstories that inspire mission development and create formidable foes.
